Colloquium Series "Approaches to Political Philosophy"

With what kinds of topics do political philosophers and theorists engage? What kinds of questions do they raise? And how do they go about answering these questions?

These and further questions will be at the center of the Colloquium Series “Approaches to Political Philosophy.” Its guiding aim is to provide junior researchers and graduate students of the University of Zurich and beyond with an opportunity to learn about and critically discuss available approaches to political philosophy. It should also serve as a way for all participants to gain new insights about how to best approach their own research.

Different existing approaches, their assumptions, their understanding of the role of political philosophy and political theory, their compatibility with other approaches, and their advantages and limitations will be at the center of conversations focusing on the work of four advanced scholars.
