Dear PhD Students,
We cordially invite you to participate in the fifth edition of the „Camera Jagellonica” – a photo competition, the idea of which is to integrate the academic community and present the university's history and current projects. Therefore, we invite students, PhD students, graduates and sympathizers of the JU to send photos.
The fifth edition of this initiative has many novelties in competition categories, but those are already well-known and liked. In addition to photos in the categories "Architecture", "Student Life" and "Impressions", participants can submit their works on the subject of ecology ("There was an Earth" category). A complete novelty of Camera Jagellonika this year is the possibility of preparing short video materials. So we go beyond the frames of photography and show the life of the Jagiellonian University in sixty-second films!

Photos should be sent by October 30 to the following address: camera.jagellonica@uj.edu.pl
The participant may submit a maximum of one work in each competition category - one photo to each category "Student life", "Architecture", "There was an Earth", "Impressions" and/or one video material in the "Video" category.
Each submitted file with a photo or video material should be described with the title of the photo or video material and the name of the competition category.

In each category, the Jury (team of professional photographers and theoreticians of photography and audiovisual arts) will select the winning photo and one additional award. Among all the photos, the Rector of the Jagiellonian University, prof. Jacek Popiel - patron of the competition - will select one, the author of which will be awarded a Special Prize. The same awards will be in the video category. This year, the value of the Special Prize is 2500 PLN!
