In response to the recent evolution of the pandemic situation, GLOBE - International Relations winter school will be held in an online format on 10-11 February, 2021
The GLOBE winter school in International Relations provides a unique environment for PhD students intending to situate themselves within the IR discipline. GLOBE PhD school builds up from the idea to create innovative PhD network workshops with colleagues from Groningen, Lausanne, Oslo, and Erfurt (GLOBE). Our focus on recent epistemological advances in non-positivist scholarship delivers expertise through PhD presentations supported by feedback discussions as well as a workshop around the theme « Doing research in times of true uncertainty ».
Although we are saddened that we cannot maintain the event in the Swiss Alps in Leysin as planned, we have developed a unique online format to maximize the interactive aspect of the event. To keep the usual informal and joyful atmosphere of the school, there will be a dedicated platform for the aperitif at the end of each day.

Due to the new online format, we won’t be able to grant 3.5 ECTS as planned. However, this change of format allows us to lower the participation fees to CHF 50.-.
