Before the mid-term evaluation (1st & 2nd year)

Good news – this section will soon be updated to reflect the recent raise.

The amount of contributions paid by the Jagiellonian University each month equals 465,81 PLN and consists of:

  • pension contribution: 231,48 PLN;
  • disability insurance contribution: 154,16 PLN;
  • accident insurance contribution: 22,06 PLN;
  • Labour Fund contribution: 58,11 PLN.

The amount of contributions paid by the PhD students depends on whether they decide to pay for the optional sickness insurance (58,11 PLN per month). The obligatory contributions amount to 267,06 PLN per month and consist of:

  • pension contribution: 231,48 PLN
  • disability insurance contribution: 35,58 PLN.

Therefore, the net value of the scholarship is either 2104,64 PLN (without the cost of the optional sickness insurance) or 2046,53 PLN (with the cost of the optional sickness insurance).

After the mid-term evaluation (3rd & 4th year)

Good news – this section will soon be updated to reflect the recent raise.

After the mid-term evaluation, the total amount would equal 4371,29 PLN (per month). However, to calculate the net value of the scholarship, you need to subtract the amount of contributions paid 1) by the Jagiellonian University and 2) by the PhD student.

The amount of contributions paid by the Jagiellonian University each month equals 717,59 PLN and consists of:

  • pension contribution: 356,60 PLN;
  • disability insurance contribution: 237,49 PLN;
  • accident insurance contribution: 33,98 PLN;
  • Labour Fund contribution: 89,52 PLN.

The amount of contributions paid by the PhD students depends on whether they decide to pay for the optional sickness insurance (89,52 PLN per month). The obligatory contributions amount to 411,41 PLN per month and consist of:

  • pension contribution: 356,60 PLN
  • disability insurance contribution: 54,81 PLN.

Therefore, the net value of the scholarship is either 3242,29 PLN (without the cost of the optional sickness insurance) or 3152,77 PLN (with the cost of the optional sickness insurance).
