The Program of Education at the Doctoral School in the Social Sciences carried out in the discipline of pedagogy enables to acquire specialist knowledge and skills necessary to conduct research topped with the submission of a doctoral dissertation in the field of pedagogy and preparation to take the role of an academic teacher. It is a new, personalised proposal for the development of a career in science.

The education program includes four modules:

• specialised module - enabling to acquire in-depth knowledge of the world achievements of the discipline of pedagogy and a range of cognitive skills related to the critical analysis of research results, innovative solving of complex educational problems, expert and research activities;
• methodological module - related to building a specialised methodological workshop enabling the design and conduct of scientific research, individual and team, also in the international environment;
• module related to academic competences - enabling to acquire many skills related to the development of scientific careers;
• module related to professional and soft skills, built on a modern concept of academic didactics, enabling preparation for academic work with students.

As part of individual modules, a PhD Student is offered courses and other activities that can be used to build an Individual Research Plan which allows achieving the learning outcomes provided for the Doctoral School of Social Sciences. Learning outcomes can also be confirmed based on other, alternative types of activities completed by the PhD student, listed in the catalogue presented in the program of the Doctoral School of Social Sciences.

The Education Program offered at the Doctoral School in the Social Sciences in the discipline of pedagogy enables the graduate to build a workshop based on a broad theoretical background, allowing further independent scientific and research work. The graduate has an in-depth knowledge of the world achievements of pedagogy and its methodological foundations; mastered the research workshop to the extent enabling the creative use of research methods, techniques and tools; knowledge of a modern foreign language enables him to participate in an international scientific environment. The graduate's completion of advanced studies and research makes him a high-class specialist in the area of ​​his choice.

The acquired substantive knowledge and research competencies as well as the scientific contacts and cooperation with researchers at home and abroad undertaken in the course of the educational program give the graduate a strong position also on the non-academic job market.
