The Doctoral School in the Social Sciences 

was established by Regulation No. 10 of the Rector of the Jagiellonian University of February 14, 2019.

On February 15, 2019, the Rector of the Jagiellonian University appointed the Director of the PhD School of Social Sciences by Regulation No. 13 and The Council of the Doctoral School of Social Sciences by Regulation No. 16.

On February 20, in the Collegium Novum hall of the Jagiellonian University, vocations for directors and members of doctoral school councils were solemnly presented.

Schools are new institutions established as a result of the reform of higher education, introduced by the provisions of the new Law on Higher Education and Science, the so-called Act 2.0.
